RITA tries to speak, but can only mouth the words. Tech guys hurriedly set up a music stand and a boom mike. DIANE rushes in. RITA tries again, and this time, DIANE’s voice is heard dubbing her.
The chorus marches into place, blocking CONNIE. A bucket of water is passed down the line to RITA who tosses it on her. CONNIE scoffs at the gesture. Then melts.
